What Case Checkr does
Case Checkr helps you track the status of your U.S. immigration case by fetching public status information from the USCIS Case Status service on your behalf. We are not affiliated with USCIS or the U.S. government.
Information we collect
- Case numbers you add (e.g., receipt numbers) — stored on your device and used to query case status.
- Status data returned by USCIS — shown in the app; we do not sell it.
- App diagnostics (crash and basic usage analytics) — if enabled, limited technical data may be collected to improve reliability.
How we use information
- Fetch and display your latest case status and history.
- Provide core features (refresh, timelines, notifications if enabled in future versions).
- Maintain and improve app performance and stability.
Data storage and retention
- On-device: Your saved case numbers and cached status data stay on your device unless you remove the app or delete a case.
- Our servers: If the app uses a relay or proxy service, requests may transiently pass through our infrastructure for delivery, but we do not persist case numbers longer than needed to complete the request.
- Analytics: Diagnostic data (if enabled) may be retained by the analytics provider per their standard retention windows.
Sharing and disclosure
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Service providers may process limited technical data (e.g., analytics, error reporting) to help us operate the app.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
Your choices
- Delete cases: Remove saved case numbers in the app at any time.
- Reset data: Uninstalling the app deletes on-device data.
- Analytics controls: Where supported, you can disable analytics in system settings or future in‑app settings.
Children’s privacy
CaseCheckr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information consistent with this policy.
Third‑party services
- USCIS Case Status: Queries are made to retrieve your case information.
- Analytics/diagnostics: The app may integrate Google/Firebase Analytics or Crash reporting for performance and stability.
- Use of these services is subject to their own policies and terms.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information. Contact us to exercise your rights.
